The Communications team is based in the External Relations directorate at the University of York. Our mission is to advance institutional profile and reputation, and help build a strong University community, who feel informed, supported and connected. We do this through digital communications, media relations, research communications, events and public engagement.
A key part of our work is maintaining and strengthening the University’s brand through strategic advice, content support, provision of creative services, management of core digital platforms, and user experience design and research.
We’re looking for someone who can help us become more user-centred in our digital projects - from research that informs what we work on through to testing the effectiveness of what we deliver - and improve the design of our website in line with the evolution of the University brand.
You will work in a cross-functional team with other digital specialists to create attractive and highly usable digital experiences which enhance the University of York brand and meet the needs of our users. You’ll be involved in digital projects at all stages, from initial research and prototyping through to final designs and testing with users.
