This role is based in Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Outreach (MRAO) which makes up part of the External Relations Directorate.
The Student Recruitment team within MRAO are tasked with developing strategies that help shape the University’s future student populations by attracting and retaining the best students, regardless of their backgrounds.
In particular, this post holder will work within our Student Recruitment team to support the delivery of key undergraduate recruitment events on-campus and online, as well as represent the University at school/college visits and events. For the Student Recruitment team as we return to in-person delivery this is a time to develop our work with prospective students and their supporters, so is an exciting time to join the team.
We are currently working in a hybrid way, with a blend of working from home, on campus and at events off-campus.
This role provides a recent University of York graduate with an opportunity to gain significant experience working in a role that supports young people to realise their aspirations. The post holder will become skilled in event management, communication and customer service.
The post holder will focus on supporting the delivery of undergraduate recruitment activities working with students and their supporters. This maybe, for example at online events or external visits to schools/colleges where you might give a presentation about the University of York specifically or higher education generally, or talk to students and their supporters at an in-person career fair about courses and facilities at the University.
You will deliver a large number of presentations, activities and events engaging with a range of audiences.
