Department

The Open Door and Disability are looking to recruit a part time Administrator to compliment the Disability Team.  The Administrator will provide a professional, effective and efficient service to students.

Role

To carry out a range of administrative processes in order to facilitate the smooth running of an administrative service for the Disability Support Service to students.   To manage queries relating to students sensitively, promptly, effectively and treating all queries confidentially. 

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

  • A general education to include 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above (including Maths and English), or an equivalent educational qualification, or relevant experience
  • Thorough knowledge of administrative procedures and processes used in a busy office within a large complex organisation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people orally and in writing
  • Sensitivity and empathy with service users, colleagues and staff

Condition of Employment

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Consequently, all applicants will be asked to declare both unspent and spent convictions on their application form. 

Appointment of the successful candidate will be conditional on a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
