Role Description


The Department of Language and Linguistic Science at the University of York is looking for a professional French language teacher to join a pool of Language Tutors for their Languages for All (LFA) programme.  This is an exciting opportunity to deliver teaching to a wide range of students, including current University students, University staff and members of the general public. 


In addition to delivering teaching, Language Tutors will contribute to the development of teaching materials and the delivery of exams.  

The hours of work can vary depending on the number of classes supported but would typically be between 4-12 hours per week during term time.

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

You will have experience of teaching and an Honours degree (or equivalent) in the relevant language or extensive professional experience in teaching it. If you are a near native speaker, you will also have an Honours degree in a relevant subject.
