At York we aim to ensure students have an environment in which they can optimise their academic and personal potential. Our structures and services should enhance the students’ experience and support their academic endeavour, but most of all we want our students to enjoy their time at York.
The Director of Student Life and Wellbeing will provide leadership to the services that support all aspects of student life and wellbeing, ensuring our students can make the most of their university experience.
You will have overall strategic leadership for the campus life and wellbeing portfolio and for all of the teams that contribute to campus life and student pastoral support. This includes all students at all levels of study who are on or off campus, online, or on a placement, in line with the University Strategy 2030. You will also provide strategic support for implementation of the University’s mental health strategy, providing a focal point for bringing together academic and professional services stakeholders.
We particularly welcome applications from female candidates, and candidates from minority ethnic backgrounds, who are under-represented at senior management level in the institution.
Informal enquiries may be directed to Paul Ellison, Recruitment Adviser (email@example.com).
Closing Date: 7 December 2021
Interview Date: 11 & 12 January 2022 (see candidate brief for further details)
