The Department of Computer Science is seeking to appoint a Research Associate to support work on an Innovate UK funded project HiClass within a work package dealing with the use of multicore processors in safety-critical systems and the MOCHA project working on the scheduling of 5G systems. The HiClass project mainly supports industrial companies working in civil avionics. The work requires the researcher to extend a currently operating test rig used to understand and analyse real software executing on multicore processors, and produce results using machine learning and / or statistical techniques that support another experienced researcher working on scheduling of multicore-based systems.
