The newly formed Directorate of Technology, Estates & Facilities (DTEF) provides services and facilities to staff, students and visitors. Within DTEF, the Customer Experience Team oversees the University’s main receptions. The team provides a friendly and welcoming reception service.
This is an exciting time to join the University Reception team; we are currently looking to fill a number of vacancies and are hoping to have staff in place to welcome students in September at the start of term.
As a University Receptionist, on a daily basis, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors. You will provide support, advice and redirect queries where relevant. The post holder will be required to be flexible according to the needs and resources of the University and may be requested to undertake other duties as appropriate to the grade of post.
A flexible, adaptable approach to work is necessary; whilst you will primarily be based at specific Reception areas, there will also be a requirement to cover other receptions across the University campus.
Weekend receptionists will also provide a mobile reception service using a University fleet vehicle.
The weekend receptionists work part time. Working shifts will be 8.17 hours long and will be allocated by roster covering Saturday and Sunday.
Interview date: Rolling basis – Successful applicants will be invited for interview shortly after receipt of application
