The Directorate of Technology, Estates & Facilities (DTEF) is responsible for ‘providing outstanding work, study, research facilities, and facilities to enhance the student experience, on campus and online’.
Our directorate consists of three sections which are:
Technology: IT Infrastructure: Networks, Faculty IT and Security, Systems, Desktop and Print.
Digital: Software, Projects, BA/change management.
Estates: Estates Operations: Asset Management, Policy & Assurance, Operations & Maintenance.
Estates Development: Estates Programmes, Projects, and DTEF Engagement.
Facilities: Campus Services: Facilities, Admin. & Customers, Accommodation & Room Bookings
Commercial Services: Retail, Catering, Conferences, Nursery, Copy & Print, York Sport, York Science Park Ltd & Guildhall.
This role is part of the Recruitment & Training Team within Customer Service & Administration.
In this busy and varied role, you will report to the Recruitment & Training (R&T) Team Leader. You will carry out a range of administrative duties to assist with the day to day requirements of the Directorate associated with recruitment and people change. You will be responsible for guiding colleagues from across our Directorate through recruitment and change processes. Our team ensures that a consistent and fair approach is taken for all. Sensitivity and confidentiality are key to this role as is the ability to respond sympathetically to a range of queries.
You will be required to to use various systems such as eRecruiter, Resource Link and Kronos. Full training will be provided for these however it is expected that you will have a good understanding of collaborative working and hold strong IT Skills. Experience of working with Google Suite would be an advantage.
