Role Description

This leadership position will play a key role based in the Directorate of Technology, Estates and Facilities (DTEF), and leads the University’s Facilities (Campus Services and Commercial Services). 

The Role
Your role will be critical for the University,  it oversees a range of services that touch the broadest range of our community in many physical touchpoints. Overseeing the day to day services which keep the University functioning and those that provide the external faces to visitors. You will lead the team that provides the link between the Directorate and our customers. You will define how to use space we have to make the greatest impact with the resources we have. You will also oversee the commercial services and accommodation portfolio ensuring service levels and income targets are met or, ideally, exceeded. As a Director you will also support the Director of Technology, Estates and Facilities, acting as a key member of the Directorate’s senior management team.

Key Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent commensurate experience
  • Commercially astute with capability in managing significant revenue budgets and growing income streams
  • Strength and quality of leadership and personal skills required to develop and lead an effective, motivated and high performing team
  • Experience of working in a large complex organisation and of working at a strategic and operational level
  • A proven record in the area of facilities/commercial management and complex service delivery
