This leadership position will play a key role in ensuring this ambition is achieved through the delivery of professional services to support research, innovation and knowledge exchange.

The Role
The Director of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange is a key senior management position. You will work closely with our Pro-Vice-Chancellors to deliver the university’s ambitions for research, innovation and knowledge exchange. You will do this by working collaboratively across the institution, and will lead a number of teams accountable for delivering professional services to support research, innovation and knowledge exchange.

This is a role that encompasses both strategy development and service delivery across the entire research, innovation and knowledge exchange landscape. It occupies a central and creative role in the development of these ongoing strategies for the institution whilst also providing leadership, overseeing the delivery of all services provided by the Directorate.

Key Requirements

  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of the Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange landscape
  • Significant senior leadership experience
  • Strong personal commitment to, and passion for, equality, and diversity and inclusion
  • Experience within a senior role in a Higher Education Institute (desirable)
