This new senior appointment will build on our established world-leading reputation for research and teaching in safety-critical and high-integrity systems engineering and will be based primarily in the University’s new multi-million-pound Institute for Safe Autonomy (ISA). We are seeking to appoint a candidate with a broad background in safety critical systems and are keen to encourage applications from strong candidates with equivalent experience from backgrounds outside of academia.
Your role will pursue research of the highest standards, attracting external funding to support the Department’s research and innovation activities in safety critical systems. You will build links and partnerships with industry and government partners internationally to translate your research into impact. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary community of academics who publish in the highest ranked journals and conferences, attracting significant research income, and teaching to the highest standards.
