We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic Sports Coaches to join our team to deliver sport and activity sessions to children during the school summer holidays 2021.
Our Sports Coaches are responsible for looking after children throughout the day and coaching or leading high energy, fun and inclusive sports sessions, games and activities to small groups of up to 20 children, aged between 6 and 14.
Activities can include a wide range of sports, crafts and fun team building activities and we would love you to bring your own ideas too.
This is a seasonal role with hours on offer across a minimum of 4 weeks this summer:
There is potential for further dates to be added subject to demand.
We are ideally looking for coaches who are fully available for all four weeks during the hours of 8am and 6pm.
• Level 1 or Level 2 NGB Coaching Qualification or a teaching qualification.
• Experience of working with young children.
• A friendly, outgoing personality with a positive can-do attitude.
• An ability to motivate and enthuse groups of children with energy and enthusiasm.
• Self-driven with an ability to work off own initiative.
• Good behavioural management skills.
• Excellent organisational, verbal communication and listening skills.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Previous coaching experience.
• A passion for sport.
• First Aid qualification.
• Safeguarding training.
Please note a DBS will need to be completed by successful applicants. Successful applicants will need to undertake first aid and safeguarding training if not already qualified.
This is a casual vacancy so coaching hours cannot be guaranteed every session/week.
Rate of Pay:
Lead Coach: The rate of pay will be £12.81 per hour.
Assistant Coach: The rate of pay will be £8.91 per hour.
