Role Description

Department

The People and Organisational Development team offer award-winning development and learning opportunities for everyone at the University of York, from individual staff, teams and departments to students through our diverse range of programmes. The department is seeking to recruit a new Development Partner on a fixed-term basis to contribute to the University’s development needs.

Role

You will use your significant experience in a training delivery role to support the design, delivery and evaluation of a range of learning and development activities. In addition, this role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to our sector-leading student development and leadership portfolio - delivering on an exciting range of programmes and working with our vibrant and enthusiastic student community.

You will be able to apply a blended learning approach to enhance our provision through the use of technology, for example through the development of webinars and digitally enabled platforms.

You will have a passion for continuous improvement to service and be a flexible, pragmatic, can-do team player. You will be outcome-focused and evidence-driven to ensure the interventions and programmes we offer are aligned to the institutional strategic ambitions and departmental priorities.

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate teaching qualification or relevant professional equivalent

Experience

  • Experience in designing and delivering learning and development programmes to a diverse population, including leadership and management development, team development, coaching and the bespoke design of learning events to meet institutional needs.
  • Experience of delivery of online events and webinar delivery

Skills, abilities and competencies

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate training provision
  • The ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and colleagues at all levels
