Role Description

Please note, the position is advertised on behalf of our partner Sannam S4 ( Sannam S4 helps leading educational institutions develop and succeed in high-growth education markets, including North America.

Sannam S4 are seeking to recruit an International Officer (North America) to plan and deliver recruitment activities and grow brand recognition amongst key influencer networks for the University of York. 

As a member of Sannam S4’s higher education advisory team you will support the University’s international recruitment and marketing team in the North America region, focusing on the western part of the USA. Preference given to candidates located in California or Texas.

The Role
You will enhance the capacity of the University, seeking to strengthen its presence in the USA. Your role will focus on the development and implementation of outreach, marketing, and recruitment strategies across undergraduate and graduate programmes.

Key tasks include:

  • Identifying opportunities and effectively communicating these in the form of written strategic plans and initiatives (to increase market visibility for the University)
  • Plan and execute on and offline recruitment activities, including recruitment fairs, conferences, school and university visits
  • Provide market insight on North American trends and making recommendations to support informed decision making
  • Liaise closely with a range of colleagues in the International Recruitment team and acts as a key contact for this offices’ staff and other University personnel visiting the USA.
  • Contribute to the development of on and offline marketing tools, including social media and presence on relevant online media
  • Identify and initiate links with universities, government agencies and other organizations
  • Develop effective internal and external working relationships with a range of campus communities, external partners, representatives, and professional organizations.

Key Requirements

  • Knowledge of the North American secondary and higher education systems
  • Experience in event planning or programme administration
  • Experience presenting and public speaking
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills
  • Willingness and ability to work independently, including regular travel (North America and abroad)
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree

The role will be home-based and reports into Sannam S4’s Partner Success Manager. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
