You may be involved in efforts to secure additional funding as required. You may be required to contribute to undergraduate teaching in the Department.
You should have a PhD in a relevant social science or health science subject or equivalent experience. You will have knowledge of mental health social care to engage in high quality research, a range of research techniques and methodologies, UK mental health services and needs of unpaid carers, and the processes involved in developing and evaluating social interventions. You will have experience of carrying out both independent and collaborative research, conducting research in mental health or social care services and writing up research work for publication. You will have the ability to work with agility and flexibility with team members, research participants and other stakeholders and collaboratively with service users, carers and practitioners. You will also have the ability to prioritise own work in order to meet deadlines, including using initiative to plan research programmes.
