The Corporate Content team is based in Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Outreach (MRAO). The team produce materials for a wide range of student recruitment and conversion campaigns to maximise both student quality and diversity. Powerful and engaging communications are essential to convey the many benefits of studying at the University of York and we are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Content Developer to work on a wide range of projects and campaigns around student recruitment marketing.
This two year fixed term role offers an exciting opportunity for those with the necessary experience to work on a wide range of projects in a dynamic team environment.
Working in a fast-paced team environment, you’ll specifically focus on content for prospective students. You’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the student journey and decision-making processes and your creative outputs will help us to attract talented students from all backgrounds.
You’ll craft clear, persuasive and user-friendly content for a range of platforms across digital and print. This will include the planning, delivery and evaluation of digital and print projects to support wider strategic marketing and communications objectives. Working collaboratively with colleagues across MRAO and other departments, you will develop high quality marketing content to support marketing recruitment campaigns running across UK and international markets.
As part of this role you will also provide support, guidance and training to internal stakeholders in relation to writing excellent user-focused content. This includes supporting the Web CMS and Marketing CRM system. As well as developing content to appeal to new prospects, you will also play a significant role in developing engaging communications to assist with the conversion of applicants.
With an undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience, you will be passionate about clear and engaging content and have a keen eye for detail and imagery. You’ll know what it takes to plan and deliver effective content experiences, from writing content plans to setting measurable content goals and using data to review and evaluate performance. You must possess strong organisational and communication skills and be able to juggle competing workloads. You will know how to build engagement with different audiences and have experience of developing digital marketing solutions across the web and social media. You will be a team player able to manage conflicting priorities and workloads.
