We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive admissions manager, to work within the busy Undergraduate Admissions team. A friendly and helpful manner is essential, combined with a flexible approach to work and an ability to work efficiently with large volumes to tight deadlines.
Responsible for the line management of a team, you will oversee the undergraduate admissions processing activities ensuring that admissions operational processes are carried out in accordance with the Admissions Policy and effectively support the University’s recruitment strategy.
You will work closely with the Deputy Head of Admissions (Undergraduate) to support centralised decision making for undergraduate programmes through liaison with academic departments, including defining and applying selection criteria and working towards agreed decision making timetables and offer targets.
You will be involved in the organisation and delivery of information events and publications for applicants, and the organisation and delivery of training for admissions staff. Alongside the other Admissions Managers in the team, you will play a key role in the centralised support for admissions, including informing strategic objectives through involvement in the University’s planning processes. You will assist with projects designed to improve the efficiency of the admissions service, enhancing the experience of both internal and external stakeholders.
With excellent communication skills, you will have experience of managing a team, excellent IT skills and preferably experience of working in higher education admissions.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months (maternity cover).

Salary will be within the range of £32,817 to £40,322 per annum
