Hull York Medical School Student Support Team is seeking to recruit a Student Support Assistant to be based at the University of York, on a continuing contract.
Working with your counterpart on the University of Hull campus, you will be required to provide excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors through a front-facing role. You will have excellent communication skills, both orally and written and have experience of working effectively as part of a team. You will be responsible for providing support to the Academic Lead for Student Support and the Student Life and Wellbeing Officer.
Hull York Medical School is committed to the ongoing development of its student support services and delivering a high standard of support across all of its academic and clinical environments. This is a front facing role and the successful candidate will take on the responsibility of being the first point of contact through face to face front desk advisory service duties and via telephone/email exchange with students, staff and visitors, signposting to support services within the School, in our parent universities and external agencies as appropriate.
The role is extremely varied and there will be some occasions when travel to the University of Hull and our NHS partnership sites is necessary.
To discuss this role informally, please contact Gwen Irving, Student Life and Wellbeing Officer, via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
