The University of York’s Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni is looking for a highly motivated and people-orientated fundraiser to join our enthusiastic and forward-thinking team.
Are you an experienced fundraiser with a passion for connecting alumni and friends to the right cause in creative and innovative ways? Are you interested in helping to grow and develop a team of hard-working students to become competent and articulate fundraisers? Do you enjoy communicating with a diverse community of people? Then we would love to talk to you.
As part of the Fundraising Programmes Team, you will help build and diversify a strong regular giving programme through telethon, mail, email and face to face solicitation and cultivation. You will run biannual telethon campaigns and develop and grow new donor markets to foster our pool of support. You will play a key role in producing creative story-led copy to inspire our community to give and to thank those who already do.
We are looking for a team member who will bring an excellent understanding of telethons, with a knowledge of data driven and donor centred fundraising. Experience in managing or fundraising for a regular giving programme is vital. You should have experience in asking for and closing donations alongside being able to confidently manage and train a group of student fundraisers. The role is based at York University, but the team is currently working remotely.
The University is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff engagement forums, campus facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds.
