Role Description

The University is seeking a high calibre Financial Accountant to lead the production of US GAAP accounts for the University. The Role
You will be responsible for producing University’s first set US GAAP published accounts. It will involve you in reviewing the detailed UK GAAP accounting records of the University, liaising with University management & capital accountants, preparing the necessary adjustments to convert the accounts to US GAAP and publishing the US GAAP Accounts. In addition you will provide high quality technical accounting assistance and advice to finance staff and more widely across the University.

Key Requirements:

  • Accountancy qualification (for example ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and its differences to UK GAAP
  • Good technical knowledge of UK accounting standards including FRS102
  • Ability to engage and influence colleagues at all levels
