An exciting opportunity has arisen for a joint appointment between the Hull York Medical School and the Department of Health Sciences. You will conduct their research within Public Health and Society Research Group in the Department of Health Sciences and contribute to teaching and leadership within the Medical School. This appointment is part of a key strategic focus aimed at strengthening public health research at the University of York. You will contribute to internationally outstanding research and scholarship, particularly addressing public health questions related to interventions.
We are seeking an individual with a demonstrable track record of research in public health interventions. The successful candidate will be conversant with the range of health service research methods, and in particular, will have expertise of trials in different settings. The appointee will provide leadership in the teaching of public health interventions within the Medical School and the University.
The main duties of the role include planning, managing and conducting research projects related to the public health interventions. This will include communicating the results of research to different groups and contributing to the production of research outputs. Duties include the delivery of lectures for undergraduate students on Public Health, including curriculum development.
