As a leading research University, York relies on excellent communication systems. The University is currently taking these systems to the next level by implementing new Unified Communications platforms working with communication channels such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Twitter etc. alongside our current voice platform.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to work within the Unified Communications team. You will assist the team by performing day-to-day operational and administration tasks as well as providing basic first line fault finding and diagnosis of our mobile, VOIP and other communication systems and services. You will be providing a service to all parts of the University and so this role requires a professional, customer-focused approach to working with others, ensuring that all customers receive an excellent service.
You will be a dedicated individual with a good attention to detail and be able to work effectively as part of a team. You will have a good working knowledge of standard applications software, in particular the Microsoft Office suite, and have the ability to work flexibly, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
The overall aim is for the team is to transform how our customers, students and staff are able to collaborate with solutions that are mobile, secure and deliver reliable, seamless integrated voice, video calling & messaging.
