Role Description

As Fellowship Coordinator you will be the primary source of professional support for the design, implementation and evaluation of the new University of York Fellowship Programme.

Department

Research Excellence Training Team sits within the Research and Enterprise Directorate.

Role

Working across all three Faculties, you will need excellent interpersonal, organisational and project management skills and, ideally, previous experience in supporting research staff. You will work with prospective and existing early career Fellows and with academic staff who will support the Fellows within their host academic Department(s). You will coordinate all stages of the Fellowship lifespan which includes: working with academic Departments and HR  to attract, select and support candidates; creating marketing and communication to promote and celebrate the UoY Fellowship Programme (in conjunction with External Relations); and delivering, with the RET Team, post-arrival cohort building and professional development opportunities. You will also be responsible for the collation of metrics to determine the success of the Programme.

You will be a team player, confident in communicating to a variety of audiences, flexible in approach, with a commitment to high quality service and to developing the University of York as a destination of choice for research fellows. You will be inquisitive about research, enjoy maximising the potential of individuals and be committed to developing the University of York as a destination of choice for exceptional research fellows.
