Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our HR Compliance Team during a period of fundamental change. Working with colleagues across the University, you will play a lead role in ensuring we deliver and develop a robust but customer focused HR Compliance Service.

You will oversee the work of the HR Compliance Team, who undertake a range of activities including; ensuring we comply with our UKVI obligations as an A rated sponsor, DBS screening and managing the booking and payment processes for casual staff.  You will act as a key point of escalation for more complex cases ensuring we deliver the best possible experience for colleagues and students.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Experience of working in a compliance/governance role, applying rules and legislation into efficient processes
  • Knowledge of audit processes and the requirements of governing bodies (eg UKVI)
  • Been a successful people manager, motivating and developing a service driven team
  • The proven ability to balance our legislative obligations with providing an excellent service to colleagues
