The Grounds Maintenance Team sits within the Directorate of Estates and Campus Services (DECS). The team complete activities associated with all aspects of grounds maintenance and sports fields’ works.
In this role, you will cover all aspects of grounds maintenance and sports fields work. You will be required to use various equipment such as tractors, ride-on and pedestrian grass cutting machinery, powered hand tools such as brush-cutters and hedge trimmers. You will also carry out the application of chemicals such as pesticides and fertilisers.
During bad weather you will be required to attend work earlier to snow clearing and gritting.
The University has a large and diverse campus which is a Registered Park and Garden, giving our grounds the same designation as some of Britain's finest estates. As part of our team, you will contribute to maintaining this status and our Green Flag Award which has been awarded to us for the past six years concurrently.
