Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a UX Researcher to join our growing Enterprise Systems Team at the University of York. The Enterprise Systems Team develop and deliver innovative services that are fundamental to the delivery of outstanding teaching, learning and world class research undertaken at the University.

You will work on a range of strategic services, focussing on web applications, mobile apps and business systems across all areas of the University’s activities.

This is a particularly exciting time in our development as this will be the first full time User Research role we will recruit into our team. It is an amazing opportunity to make a difference to how we work and to the people using our services. As we develop the UX capability you will have a real voice in how move forwards.

You will work as part of multidisciplinary teams through the entire design process; from user research to creating and testing new solutions using prototypes, and delivering services to the University community. You will also be able to join and contribute to the wider UX community at the University.

We are committed to supporting our staff to learn new skills and as such would like to actively encourage applications from people who have the right attitude and aptitude even if you don’t think you can ‘tick-off’ every tool or approach we’ve listed in the job description.
