This Head of Individual Philanthropic Partnerships is a pivotal role in the Senior Management Team (SMT) of the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni (OPPA). OPPA has responsibility of establishing and aligning fundraising strategy, targets and KPIs to the University’s Strategic Plan in order to secure philanthropic support for: excellence in research, an outstanding and valuable experience for our students and outstanding teaching and learning. In June 2019, the University launched its first fundraising campaign: York Unlimited. With ambitious targets to raise £120M, to secure 120,000 volunteer hours and to gather the insights from graduates around the globe this will provide an exciting, challenging and rewarding experience to a senior-level fundraiser.
You will focus on identifying support for a particular faculty and managing a personal portfolio of prospects and donors. Additionally, you will oversee the work of two Philanthropic Partnership Managers and will line manage the position of Philanthropy Officer (Legacies) and part-time administrator. The Individual Philanthropic Partnerships team currently comprises 2.3 FTE, with scope to expand this function as the Campaign for York develops.
