The Department of Environment & Geography is embarking on an ambitious project to define its strategy for the next ten years and beyond. The Department is a leading centre for teaching and research on the world’s environmental issues, and hopes it will have a major part to play in finding sustainable solutions to these challenges.
We are looking for a Project Manager who can help the Department rethink what is possible and deliver a step change in departmental ambition. The Project Manager will do this through effective relationship building, facilitation, and individual and group interviews. You will oversee all administrative aspects of the project and take responsibility for keeping things on track. You will work closely with the Department’s leadership team to turn this information into a coherent vision and strategy, as well as working with interested parties outside the Department to maximise the impact of this strategy. This is a new role with a fixed term of 21 months.
The Department is proud to hold the Bronze award from Athena SWAN and as a department strives to provide a working environment which allows all staff and students to contribute fully, to flourish and excel.
This new role is an opportunity to use your project management skills to assist the Department in realising its strategic ambitions as well as to influence working practice.
