Role Description


The Finance Department is one of the support directorates at the University.  The Arts & Humanities Management Accounts team is part of the Academic Accounting Team and exists to provide financial support and information to the departments and units within the faculty, the faculty Dean, associated committees and the University Senior Management.


This is a newly created role to improve capacity within the Arts and Humanities Management Accounts team and support the production of accurate financial management information.  The role will work closely with and provide front-line support to academic departments within the Arts and Humanities faculty.

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

  • AAT qualified or CCAB/CIMA part-qualified.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of  team
  • Sound knowledge of financial regulations and procedures together with experience of analysing data and presenting financial information in a clear and concise format for a wide range of people. 
  • The financial operations of modern UK universities are extremely diverse and, as such, this role requires good experience of dealing with the finances of large, complex organisations and systems:
  • You will be able to manage your own workload day-to-day but also work effectively with a team spread over multiple locations
