Role Description

Directorate of Estates & Campus Services

The Accommodation Services Team, situated within the Campus Services area of the Directorate of Estates and Campus Services (DECS), is principally responsible for the management of student accommodation applications and allocations.  The team manages room bookings, raising rents, answering enquiries from applicants, residents and students (email, live chat) and telephone.  They work with our Colleges to provide our students with a great experience of living with us in a caring and respectful way.

Role

Our new Student Accommodation and Rooms Bookings Manager: putting our students first, in a caring and respectful way.

Together with presenting information about our accommodation at open days, chatting with applicants, parents and agents, and contributing to a range of promotional material to help applicants make an accommodation preference; you will lead your team in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.

With over 6,000 bed-spaces and plans for more, with our unique College system, this is a real opportunity for an accomplished leader to take our student accommodation to the next level; placing our students at the centre of activity to deliver a service that we can be proud of.

Leading the team, you will be joining at an exciting time for the University as we prepare an ambitious new student accommodation strategy and Residential Development Framework which will set out our plans for at least the next twenty years.

You will work alongside the Head of Space and Accommodation with strategic contact with the Director of Campus Services, together with a broad range of internal colleagues.  You will be key to helping to fine tune our procedures and processes to make sure that they centre activity towards delivering an excellent student experience and are agile in their ability to respond to changing requirements with ease.  You will help us to develop a service that is truly driven by our changing student needs.
