Role Description

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, organised individuals who would like to gain experience working in a busy office.  The Student and Academic Services Directorate is looking for two permanent, part-time administrative assistants – one in the Academic Registrar’s Office (29.6 hours per week) and one in Careers and Progression (22.2 hours per week).

As well as providing support to senior staff, you will carry out routine administrative processes to ensure the smooth running of the administrative service within the Directorate.  You will have a general education to at least GCSE level and a good knowledge of standard office computer software.  You will be flexible, self-motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

If you have any queries about these roles, please contact Helen Main, academic-registrar@york.ac.uk, 01904 322135.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held on 12 September 2019. When applying, please specify which of these two posts you are interested in.

The University is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community  – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff engagement forums, campus facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds.
