The Department of Economics and Related Studies is ranked among the top 100 economics departments in the world and in the top 10 in the UK. Core to the success of our Department has been the research undertaken in our Macroeconomics & Finance cluster and the MSc Finance. This Chair appointment will provide a leadership role for these activities and consolidate and develop the international reputation of macroeconomic research conducted at York.
You will undertake a key role in the Department, strengthening the research work in the area of Macroeconomics & Finance. Current areas of strength include asset pricing, financial econometrics and macro-finance as demonstrated by the activities of the Centre for Applied Macro-Finance (CAMF). You will also hold a strong commitment to the promotion of excellence in research, and in teaching and learning. You will be joining a collegiate environment led be a community of academics, dedicated to delivering high quality research, teaching and outreach.
