Role Description

We have a vacancy in our Teaching and Learning Team for an IT Training & Support Specialist. This person will provide specialist IT user enquiry support for the use of web and desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Apps. This role will support the delivery and development of IT training for staff and students, and the creation of online resources for our Skills Guides. If you have outstanding communication skills with an ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and enjoy meeting new people this could be the role for you. You will be committed to ensuring our users receive excellent customer services and you’ll have an enquiring mind with an ability to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly.

This post will be available immediately on an open contract. A flexi-time scheme operates which allows for flexible working within operational guidelines.

The advert closes at midnight on 28 June 2019 and interviews are expected to take place on 17 July 2019.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Susan Halfpenny, Teaching and Learning Manager, on 01904 324253 or at

The University is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community  – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff engagement forums, campus facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds.
