The York Trials Unit (YTU) is a UKCRC registered clinical trials unit and its success has led to the need to expand the data management team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for two highly motivated Assistant Data Managers to work alongside the team responsible for clinical trials data management.
Applications are welcomed from candidates who have experience of working in a data driven environment, preferably in a clinical setting, with a first or higher degree in a computer-related discipline or with substantial relevant experience at an equivalent level.
The successful applicants will be expected to assist with all aspects of data management which will include writing documentation; auditing; quality assurance; data cleaning; querying; setting up SQL server databases and writing stored procedures for data validation, whilst being flexible to take on additional data management tasks when required to do so. You will liaise closely with trial coordinators to rectify data anomalies, working closely with the data management team to ensure a high quality programme of work.
You must be able to demonstrate that you are an effective communicator with attention to detail and be able to apply a methodical approach to your work.
We are looking for two full-time posts and the positions are available immediately for a fixed term period of 24 months. The salary for the post will be £25,482 a year.
