Role Description

We have a great opportunity to lead our design and print units as the Head of Design and Print.  This Job has a crucial role to play in the Design and Print function.  You will be leading a team of in house designers and print production team who produce work across the University Of York and externally.

YCL Design and Print offer high quality and affordable design and print services for the YCL portfolio, which is ever changing and growing. There are two teams based around the University Campus.   The Print shop team on Market Square and the design studio located on campus west in Heslington.

The design team create innovative inspiring designs for everyone’s needs and their expertise include branding, illustration, web design, brochures and so much more.

The print team produce excellent quality posters, flyers, banners and more.  They also offer binding services and special print finishes. 

The post of Head of Design and Print requires a management qualification along with experience of using professional digital printers.  The role holder will be allowed significant autonomy in developing and delivering key strategic objectives for their section and the wider company

The hours are full time, 37 per week. The salary is £26,952 - £30,984 per annum (negotiable).

You will be entitled to 30 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays per annum.
