Role Description

We are looking for a new Placements and Employability Coordinator to join our established Careers and Employability Team within The York Management School.  You will be part of a thriving School where student employability is high on the agenda.  We have a strong growth strategy with increasing numbers of our students undertaking internships and year-long placements in a number of high quality organisations, both large and small.  The Team offer bespoke services to Management School students, so this is an opportunity to become expert in business and management placements and internships.  The types of organisations we engage with are many and varied but include L'Oréal, Unilever, Deloitte and Nissan.  We are always looking to increase placement and internship opportunities for our students so you will be actively seeking out new contacts and leads on behalf of the School.

The Careers and Employability service within the Management School is highly valued by students, so if you are keen on making a difference to the future employment prospects of students this could be a great role for you.  One of our students, Amna, a student in Accounting, Business Finance and Management, commented:

"I just wanted to thank you for all your help this year regarding my job applications! I heard back from KPMG on Friday and I have been offered the graduate programme in audit.  I really appreciate all the help from the team this year and last year when I was applying to placements!"

If you are looking to work in as a professional in a high quality organisation where you will be part of a successful team who are passionate about employability, our Careers and Employability Adviser, Fabien Baugard, would like to hear from you.  He is available to answer your questions and provide further information about this exciting opportunity by email at fabien.baugard@york.ac.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you!
