Role Description

Due to the expansion of the School we are seeking to recruit an additional Placement Co-ordinator. 
The Employability and Placement Co-ordinators work collaboratively with School and University staff in co-ordinating the full range of placement activities. There are a range of duties from building positive relationships with employers both new and existing; provision of hands-on support for placement students to guide them through the process; working with academic staff in the School and central University staff to ensure that the student placement experience is positive for students and employers, right through to creating marketing materials and staging placement events. This student-facing role offers an exciting opportunity to work with us to take the placement scheme at TYMS forward to the next level. 
You will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to enthusiastically promote the placement scheme to current and prospective students as well as proven skills in networking with a range of business contacts. You will need to have a sound understanding of the impact of placement schemes upon employability as well as knowledge of employer graduate recruitment processes. It is essential that the role holder has experience of providing one-to-one and group advice, preferably for students. A personal commitment to excellence in customer services is essential to ensuring that our client contacts are maintained and enhanced as well as ensuring that the scheme runs to high quality standards. You will be experienced in delivering relevant information clearly to a range of audiences verbally and in writing. 
You will be a skilled and experienced administrator, able to deliver a well-organised and effective service within time constraints. Having first-rate IT skills, you will also be experienced in the use of a range of media to communicate appropriately with students as well as the skills to produce policy documents, handbooks, marketing materials and to deliver effective verbal presentations.
