Role Description

Treasury Accountant – Leading UK University

The University is seeking a high calibre Treasury Accountant to join our Group Financial Accounts team and lead the treasury activities. Working for one of the UK’s leading higher education institutions, the role offers a first-rate working environment and excellent career opportunity, whilst benefiting from a campus based community environment.


The Role
You will be responsible all aspects of treasury management including covenant compliance, forecasting and advising on working capital and investment options to ensure the best use of cash resources to support to performance of the University.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to build a network of key contacts with third party banks and investment brokers, and be a team player with a drive to get things right first time.


Key Requirements:

  • Accountancy qualification (for example ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or relevant treasury or banking qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Significant knowledge of investment portfolio, banking and financial instruments
  • Sound understanding of financial processes, procedures and regulations
  • Ability to establish and nurture productive partnerships both internally and externally
