Role Description

Finance Shared Services are seeking to recruit to Senior Accounts Payable Officer to provide support to the Accounts Payable Manager in the provision of a high quality and customer focussed transactional service for the University.

The role will be involved in all aspects of invoice and expense processing, weekly BACS and foreign currency payment runs, resolution of queries and disputes, reconciliation of supplier accounts and management of Accounts Payable team email inbox.

Based in the Finance Department, the post holder will work to build relationships with Academic and Support Department colleagues and play an active role in process improvement and ongoing training.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking and adaptable individual to take a key part in providing effective and efficient management and co-ordination of the day-to-day financial processes and operations. The role will appeal to someone who enjoys a variety of tasks, is proactive, can work to a very high degree of accuracy and manage their own priorities within a large and busy transactional service.

The University is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community  – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff engagement forums, campus facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds.
