Role Description

We are currently recruiting to a vacancy in the Student Records team, responsible for ensuring the overall quality of data held within the University’s student records system (SITS). The student record underpins the administrative support provided to students throughout their studies and the Student Records team plays a core role in ensuring accurate, high quality and timely data is available to all who need it.

 You will work with the Student Records Officers to support activities from enrolment through to Graduation.  You will maintain accurate and complete records, process changes in circumstances, resolve data discrepancies and support students throughout their journey.  You will ensure that effective processes are in place to support these activities, and will make suggestions for review and change. A detailed understanding of these processes provides a valuable foundation to those seeking career progression within the sector.

 You will build strong relationships with colleagues in the Visa Compliance, Finance and Admissions teams ensuring that any potential areas of concern are addressed and that students are provided with advice and guidance as needed.

 You will liaise with administrators across the University to ensure that any queries are promptly resolved.  You will also provide advice on routine cases as they arise. You will triage incoming communications and determine which, if any, need to be escalated with urgency.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a focussed team responsible for a number of key activities which underpin the service provided to our student population.  In this role you will gain a detailed understanding of the systems and processes which underpin our record management activities and support the enrolment and progression of students.  This is a challenging and constantly changing area, requiring close attention to detail, flexibility in working practices and the ability to quickly review and implement changes. You will also have the opportunity to gain experience in other areas within Student Services.

The post is full-time and the salary is at University pay grade 4
