The York Management School (TYMS) is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in International Marketing to further enhance the School’s research and teaching in this area.  This appointment is an important part of TYMS plans for strategic, interdisciplinary expansion and follows the recent creation of the two degrees MSc Global Marketing and BSc Marketing, which are fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of the marketing and global business discipline at York.

You will deliver excellent research and teaching in International Marketing Strategy. Specifically, you will develop research objectives, projects and proposals and carry out research, lead on and contribute to the production of research outputs, and design, develop and deliver teaching within International Marketing and across a wide range of modules and related subjects.

You will have a PhD in Marketing, International Business or a related discipline (or be demonstrably close to completion) and an academic professional and teaching qualification, or a willingness to complete this.  You will have achievements in scholarship and research that will enable you to rapidly establish a national and international reputation in research and scholarship.  You will have specialist knowledge of international marketing, together with research expertise in an area that will complement and enhance the School’s research strategy and goals.

You will be able to evidence your ability to contribute to high quality research, and to consistently publish academic work that is internationally recognised for its excellence.  You will also be able to use your knowledge of a range of research techniques and methodologies to develop research objectives, projects and proposals and disseminate research findings, and be able to supervise research teams, projects or research students.  By extending, transforming, and applying your knowledge from scholarship, you will also be able to design and deliver teaching material, using a range of teaching techniques to enthuse and engage students.
