An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Web/Systems Developer at The University of York, one of the UK leading universities. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Web/Systems Developer to join the PCMIS Team within the nationally renowned Department of Health Sciences helping to advance digital health technology within the mental health and related health care sectors.

The Role
You will play a key role in helping to make a different to public wellbeing through the development and support of the innovative Patient Case Management Information System (PCMIS), integrated web services and patient portal technologies designed to support mental health and related health care services. Working closely with the lead developer, existing PCMIS Team and health care services, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of web based digital health applications for both health care professionals and patients.

Key requirements:

  • Knowledge of database and web technology including Microsoft ASP.Net (VB/C#), Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX and CSS
  • Skilled in the programming languages DotNet and JavaScript/jQuery
  • Able to administer Microsoft SQL Server and IIS web server to a basic level of understanding
  • Understanding of systems development methods and database design
  • Experience of developing, deploying and supporting digital health solutions
  • Customer focused
  • Good organisational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

The post is available on an open contract and the salary is in the range £31,604 - £38,832 a year. The post is full time and the hours of work are 37 a week.
