The Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD) is looking to appoint a part-time Finance and Project Support Assistant. You will work closely with the Office Manager, Head of Department, Principal Investigators and the University Research Grants and Contracts Office to provide financial support to the departments.
The finance function in CRD is currently fulfilled by the Office Manager. Some day-to-day, routine finance tasks are carried out by the Administrative Assistant. You must have excellent communication skills, able to work calmly under pressure, have flexibility in order to meet deadlines, and able to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
As well as day to day financial support, you will also provide pre and post funding support, assisting with preparation and costing of research funding proposals, liaising with external organisations and collaborators, the Finance Office and Research Grants and Contracts office, monitoring budget spreadsheets for projects and monitoring and updating departmental spreadsheets that feed into the finance processes.
We are looking for a confident pro-active individual with a keen interest in finance and project administrative support. A financial qualification or equivalent experience is essential, as is the ability to work independently and part of a team with a high degree of accuracy.
The post is part-time, 18.5 hours a week on a fixed term contract for two years. Salary will be in the range £20,989-£24,285 a year, reduced pro-rata for part-time working.
