We are seeking to appoint an experienced and customer focussed Postgraduate Admissions Manager to lead the busy postgraduate admissions operation within the Student Recruitment and Admissions Office at the University of York. You will work closely with the Head of Admissions and the Undergraduate Admissions Manager with regard to implementing the University plan relating to the growth, shape, and nature of the student body.
As Postgraduate Admissions Manager, you will have responsibility for the postgraduate admissions function, ensuring that admissions operational activities are carried out in accordance with the Admissions Policy and effectively support the University’s recruitment strategy. You will play a key role in the centralised support for admissions, including informing strategic objectives through involvement in the Medium Term Planning process and you will assist with projects designed to improve the efficiency of the admissions service, enhancing the experience of both internal and external stakeholders.
With excellent communication and organisation skills, and the ability to contribute innovative ideas and solutions, you will have a good honours degree (or equivalent), experience of managing a team in a busy environment, and ideally experience of working in higher education student recruitment or admissions.
