An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and motivated Sports Administrator to support our Sport Development department at the University of York during a period of maternity cover. The minimum contract for maternity cover would be 9 months with the potential to extend.
The post will be employed by York Sport; a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of York, to maximise sport development opportunities. We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and determined individual to make sport at the University of York a success.
As a Sports Administrator you will be highly motivated, with a commitment to delivering a first class service to all members involved within York Sport. You will possess the ability to provide knowledge and administration support to the various sporting programmes within York Sport.
You will possess an ability to work on your own initiative and have a commitment to working within a team. You will further have the ability to communicate amongst varying customers, partners and other key organisations. An understanding of the Sporting landscape would be advantageous to the role. A further proven track record of working within sport and/or administration is necessary. The role will require you to work Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm and the occasional evening and weekend.
Applicants will be required to complete and hold a clean enhanced DBS check.
It is essential that those interested should be able to demonstrate a desire through sport to match York Sports commitment to deliver a high quality service at all times.

Salary: £15,618 per annum.
