Role Description

As Senior Student Systems Analyst you can look forward to joining an enthusiastic and friendly team who work in partnership with colleagues across the University to provide administrative systems and services that support the student journey at York. The Student Systems team is responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of our student record system (SITS), and associated systems.

In 2013 the University of York was named the Tribal University of the Year in recognition of our innovative implementation of new functionality in our student records system (SITS) and its web portal (e:vision). As we continue to develop ambitious plans for the future, we are undertaking a comprehensive review and consolidation of existing functionality with a clear focus on improving the services that we provide for our students and staff.

You will play a major role in providing enhancements to administrative systems and applications that support the student journey, and ensuring that our systems meet changing business needs and priorities. You will also provide day-to-day support, problem management, and resolution.

It is essential that you have experience of leading a software development project through all phases from initial analysis to live deployment, and strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills. Ideally you will have knowledge of SITS/e:vision development tools.

The post is full time, 37 hours a week and salary will be in the range £31,604 - £38,832 a year on an Open contract.

Please contact Rob McCarthy email: Tel: +44 (0)1904 322071 or Del Gee email: Tel: +44 (0)1904 324655 for an informal discussion about the role.

Closing date: 25 February 2018
