Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity, where you’ll be able to develop your skills whilst contributing to one of the top Universities in the UK? We recruiting a Senior Front-end Developer to join our friendly and enthusiastic team of marketing professionals to help deliver the University’s key messages to a large and diverse audience.

About the role
Your role will responsible for developing creative designs and interactive features for the University website. This is an exciting period in which you will roll out a responsive redesign of our website whilst working with a living pattern library that is under constant development. You will also line manage a front-end developer, and work alongside the rest of the digital team to ensure the Marketing team delivers a best-in-class service on behalf of academic departments and professional services to enable them to achieve the University’s strategic goals.

Key Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge of best practices in front-end development
  • Understanding of web usability principles and practices
  • Experience of implementing responsive designs for large and complex websites
  • Experience of supervising and mentoring a junior colleague in a similar role
  • Software skills HTML, CSS and Javascript, jQuery
