We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised Admissions Team Co-ordinator to work within the busy Postgraduate Admissions team of the Student Recruitment and Admissions Office at the University of York. A friendly and helpful manner is essential, combined with a flexible approach to work and an ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines.
You will co-ordinate the administration of the postgraduate admissions operation for a number of academic departments, working closely with the Admissions Officer.
You will successfully manage the workflow of your team within Postgraduate Admissions to ensure that resources are deployed effectively in order to maintain high standards of service and support for both external and internal stakeholders.
You will liaise with colleagues in academic departments to ensure that admissions decisions are appropriate, fair and consistent and that strict recruitment round deadlines are met, whilst also carrying out a range of administrative processes in order to provide an efficient and effective admissions service.
With experience of supervising a team, and experience of working in Higher Education admissions, you will possess excellent communication skills and have a keen eye for detail. You will enjoy working in a team with the ability to use your own initiative. You will have excellent IT and word processing skills with experience of using databases and spreadsheets.
