Role Description

Business Intelligence is key to the University’s success, we use best practice in data visualisation techniques and a rapid development process which allows key questions to be answered quickly. We’re a highly effective and proactive team, delivering effective business intelligence and insight to colleagues across the Unviersity.

The Role
You will have a solid understanding of the interactive visualisation of quantitative information, the good management of data in relational databases, and an energetic approach to problem solving and delivering high quality solutions.  Working with expert colleagues across many support services and the central business intelligence and IT teams, you will play a key role in developing our new management information framework and the implementation of master data management principles across the University.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in the management of projects and staff
  • A solid understanding of the design and capabilities of relational databases
  • A good working knowledge of the use of reporting tools
  • A very high attention to detail and robust development practices
  • Experience in managing multiple complex projects and actively developing project/task plans
  • Experience in the development of technology systems and change management processes
  • An energetic, professional and thorough approach to work.

The role is available on a full-time basis, on an open contract at grade 7 (£38,832 - £47,722). A flexi-time scheme operates which allows for flexible working within operational guidelines.
