We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Space Administrator to join the Accommodation Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic team that manages the 5900 bed spaces on campus. You will help deliver a responsive, friendly and professional service to current and potential students, as well as staff and external partners.
You need to demonstrate a flexible, can-do attitude towards your work and you will have excellent communication skills and show the ability to solve problems.
As Space Administrator you will work with colleagues to provide a high quality accommodation service to students and staff. You will contribute to the day to day operations for the team, handle escalated issues from colleagues and be a recognised specialist in allocated areas. You will also help to deliver service enhancements and review and improve existing processes. This is an exciting post for a well-rounded administrator who would like to join a fast paced team with a strong focus on customer service. Experience as an administrator in an education setting, particularly in maintaining student records and/or responding to student queries would be a distinct advantage for this role.
You will need to be flexible with working hours when required, especially at the start of academic terms and between August and October when there is a high volume of work dealing with the new student intake. This will involve weekend working during peak times and to support Open Days and Post Offer Visit Days. Holidays are restricted during key periods.
This post may be suitable for an existing member of University staff as a secondment opportunity. Applications for secondment opportunities would need the agreement of your current Head of Department at the point of application.
Informal enquiries can be made to Charley Bayley by telephone +44 (0)1904 324198 or by email email@example.com
Salary will be in the range £20,989 - £24,285 a year and the post is offered on a 12 month fixed-term contract.
Closing date: 27 November 2017.
